Next week, the GB Lubricants team will be participating in the Great North Run 2026 to raise money for St Oswald’s Hospice, the company’s chosen charity for this year.
With the big day fast approaching, Kevin Ndala, Administration and Business Support Manager, is still maintaining a high intensity to his training. He has run 26.5 km across two runs this week, and is feeling very encouraged by the donations that keep coming in.
Paul Booth, Managing Director, and Jack Humphreys, Technical Administrator, have also been training hard and went out for a run together after work. They were even lucky enough to bump into one of the Peter Rabbit sculptures that St Oswald’s Hospice have placed around Newcastle and North Tyneside!
In slightly sunnier conditions, Paul Crozier, Technical Manager, continued his training whilst he was in Italy, before returning home and doing a quick 5K and a longer run with a slower tempo over the Bank Holiday weekend. Paul is starting to think about preparing his body for the Great North Run, including focusing on resting and fuelling up on carbs.
The team are excited to have reached 95% of their donation goal and are appreciative of any donations to their efforts in support of St Oswald’s Hospice.
