Strengthening Our Community Commitment: GB Lubricants Supports St Oswald’s Hospice

Gateshead-based oil and lubricant manufacturer, GB Lubricants, has announced it will be supporting St Oswald’s Hospice during 2026 as their chosen charity.

GB Lubricants are excited to be raising funds for this wonderful charity, who work to support seriously ill people and their families living in the North East with incurable conditions.

The company have previously worked with St Oswald’s Hospice, raising over £4000 in 2022 & 2023, for this amazing charity. To raise this fantastic sum, the GB Lubricants’ team participated in a multitude of events, including the 100k in May challenge, where employees either individually or as a group completed 100km by running, walking, cycling, swimming or a combination of all four. The team also took part in the St Oswald’s 2023 ‘Giving Day’ event, where support from GB Lubricants, employees, customers and suppliers helped to achieve the title of ‘Giving Day Champions’. The company managed to contribute an amazing £3,085 towards St Oswald’s goal!

Over the last two years, GB Lubricants has supported several amazing charities. In July 2024, the company raised £396 for their chosen charity, The Great North Air Ambulance Service, donating 132 kilos of clothing. Additionally, in December 2025, £108 was raised for ‘Christmas Jumper Day’. In September 2024, the company raised £500 for MacMillan by hosting a Coffee Morning. In 2024 and 2025, GB Lubricants employees took part in ‘Wear it Pink’ day for the Breast Cancer Now charity, raising £438 for this wonderful charity. Most recently, in December 2025, £900 was raised for the ‘300k in 33 hours fundraiser’ for St Oswald’s Hospice.

St Oswald’s is a charitable hospice providing outstanding, specialist care to adults and children who have life-limiting conditions, and GB Lubricants is proud to be supporting such a worthy cause.
