GB Lubricants plans an impressive showcase for the APF Exhibition’s return

GB Lubricants is planning an impressive showcase of products and expertise at the APF Exhibition later this month. Making a highly anticipated return following a two-year hiatus, the forestry, woodland, arboriculture, and biomass show is the largest of its kind in the UK. This represents an exciting opportunity for GB Lubricants to engage with members from across the industry as well as promote the benefits of the brand’s premium quality forestry range, which includes innovative biodegradable lubricants. GB Lubricants first official brand ambassador, HGV trailblazer and racing driver Sami Bowler, will also be in attendance with her Mini Cooper S R56.

“Networking on a face-to-face basis once more, especially at such a prestigious event, will be a great feeling,” says GB Lubricants Regional Sales Manager Amanda Byrne, who is responsible for coordinating the company’s presence at the show, which takes place between 22nd and 24th September at the Ragley Estate in Warwickshire. “The forestry sector is very important to GB Lubricants and over the last four years we have been working hard to make our excellent products well regarded within the industry. We want people to know that with GB Lubricants, they are in safe hands; will always receive quality oils, lubricants and greases and backed by a service that is second to none.”

This year sees a milestone change in the APF’s format as it joins forces with The Arb Show (an annual trade event for arborists) and with over 22,000 visitors expected from around the world, an estimated 90% of whom will be trade professionals, the combined endeavour will be a barometer of industry trends. “Talking to suppliers and customers allows us to understand the changes they are facing and what solutions GB Lubricants could offer going forward,” says Amanda, who believes GB Lubricants pioneering Unibio® range will be a focal point of the show.

Formulated using biodegradable components as an alternative to traditional mineral based lubricants, the Unibio® range has features especially suited for use in areas of environmental sensitivity. The Unibio® range from GB Lubricants have been designed to minimise any impact on the environment and are ideal for use on equipment that is used every day operating in conditions where there is a risk of pollution. “This will be the largest forestry and Arb show ever held in the UK so we are looking forward to meeting new faces, increasing the profile of GB Lubricants and discussing ways we can move forward while protecting and reducing the industry’s impact on the environment.” Amanda added.

Located on stand 260-280, GB Lubricants team of technical experts will be on hand to answer questions about the products and samples on show. Visitors will be encouraged to feel “the difference in the tackiness [viscosity] of our grades compared to others in the market” reveals Amanda. There will also be the chance to witness what can be achieved when GB chainsaw oils are put to the test as Joffrey Watson, aka The Chainsaw Bloke, who uses a variety of the company’s products in his chainsaws to create bespoke wooden art sculptures, will be carrying out live demonstrations as well as taking part in The European Chainsaw Carving Championship, which is being hosted by the APF. Amanda adds: “GB chainsaw oils are formulated using the highest quality mineral virgin base oils and selected additives to give excellent performance and provide protection against component wear, breakage and corrosion.”

As a well-respected independent manufacturer of oils and lubricants GB Lubricants has continued to retain the EcoVadis Gold rating in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability since 2019, the certification places the business within the top five percent of all companies evaluated worldwide.  GB Lubricants also sponsored the United Kingdom Lubricants Association’s (UKLA) 2022 Sustainability Conference, continuing to demonstrates its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint by implementing sustainable solutions throughout the business and its associated activities. “GB Lubricants fully recognises that there is a need to take control of the part each one of us plays, in creating a sustainable future of the oil and lubricant industry” says Amanda. “Even the clothing we are wearing at the APF is made from recycled materials and our promotional items are being sourced from eco-friendly and sustainable suppliers.” We will also be supplying digital copies of our brochures on request to reduce our carbon foot print.
