The company, which has been manufacturing premium quality lubricants in the UK for 143 years, has recruited Chris Ainsley, 35, as sales executive for an area spanning from the Scottish border to Yorkshire.
His mission is to boost sales in his area by servicing the company’s existing customers and securing new accounts.
Chris, who has been in sales all his working life, joins GB Lubricants from a fuel supply and distribution business, where he was business development manager.
After 11 years in the fuel industry with two employers, specialising in commercial and agricultural customers, he decided the time was right for a new challenge and jumped at the chance of joining GB Lubricants.
“I have already picked up a few quality, new accounts since joining last November and am enjoying forging relationships with my customers and learning about the company’s extensive product range,” said Chris, whose wife is expecting their third child next month.
“It’s an exciting new challenge, one I am well up for. It’s great to be working for such a well-established company that is so supportive.”
In his spare time, Chris enjoys going to the gym and has played rugby union for his local club, Seaton Carew.
