Industrial Case Study: GB Industrial MP Oil 150

The Challenge

A customer required a product with formal approval to use in their reciprocating gas compressors.

Why is formal approval important?

OEMs often necessitate that an oil with their formal approval is used in their machines to ensure the correct performance characteristics are met.

Failure to use approved lubricants leads to warranties being voided and maintenance costs having to be covered by the customer.

The Solution

To develop an existing product to meet the required performance characteristics of the OEM lubricant.

How was this achieved?

Thorough lab testing was completed with several formulations to determine the best suited product to the OEM’s requirements.

The final product was sent to the OEM for approval, who confirmed that GB Industrial MP Oil 150 was suitable for use.

The Outcome

GB Lubricants’ product can be used with the confidence that it has been approved for use in the OEM’s machines.

How does this benefit customers?

OEM approvals give confidence to customers that they are using the correct lubricant.

Reduced costs when compared to OEM genuine products but with the same performance.

The Value

Customers are not required to use OEM genuine products, instead being able to use products of the same quality and performance level at a reduced cost, leading to substantial savings.

Customers can have confidence that the product they are using has been approved for use by the OEM and they are using the best product for their reciprocating gas compressors.
