There is an extra incentive for GB Lubricants to offer support for an upcoming major charity initiative. Employees from the Gateshead-based oil and lubricant manufacturer and supplier will be cheering on a group of three friends from the North East as they take to the skies this month for a parachute jump in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
Paul Booth, GB Lubricants Managing Director, explained “The Great North Air Ambulance is our company’s chosen charity of the year. We have a great admiration for the vital work the organisation does on behalf of the region. When we heard that Rebecca the daughter of one of our colleagues, Robin Stimpson, was planning a parachute jump to fundraise for the charity we were keen to offer her our support. When we found out the backstory, that it was three friends, Rebecca (right), Molly (Centre) and Laura (Left) jumping together in memory of Laura’s stepdad Shaun who sadly passed away in 2018, it gave us the extra motivation to show our support.”
The trio have the jump scheduled for the 17th of July weather permitting. You can donate to their JustGiving page by clicking here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/shaun-burns-gnaa?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Fshaun-burns-gnaa&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=pfp-email
