For the past two years the GB Lubricants employees have been proudly fundraising on behalf of St Oswald’s Hospice, which, in turn, supports seriously ill people in the North East living with incurable conditions and their families.
Over this time the GB Lubricants’ team have managed to raise over £4,000 for this amazing charity; Paul Booth, Managing Director of GB Lubricants, commented: “We are very proud to support and raise money for such a worthwhile cause in St Oswald’s Hospice, who do such an incredible job in caring for so many people and their families in the North East. GB Lubricants employees have always put great pride and passion in all that they do, and the charity has a special place in people’s hearts.”
To raise the money the GB Lubricants’ team have participated in a multitude of events, including the 100k in May challenge where employees either individually or as a group completed 100km by running, walking, cycling, swimming or a combination of all four. This included a very special effort from Simon Taylor, Operations Manager at GB Lubricants, who completed 112km in 1 day!. The team also took part in the St Oswald’s ‘Giving Day’ event where with support from the GB Lubricants employees, customers and suppliers helped to achieve the award of ‘Giving Day Champions’!
Richard Lowe, Partnerships Manager at St Oswald’s Hospice, added: “Our corporate support is hugely important to us, and we are extremely grateful to GB Lubricants for making us its charity for the past few years. Without this kind of support, we simply could not raise the money we need, to make sure we are there for those that need us most.”
We’re so proud of the team for supporting this amazing charity and each other throughout the past two years!
