GB Lubricants are recruiting a Laboratory Technician Apprentice

GB Lubricants require a willing and enthusiastic individual to join the technical team in continuing to assist in driving the business forward.GB Lubricants manufactures and supplies a wide range of premium oils and greases to meet the very latest lubrication requirements of automotive, industrial, agricultural and plant equipment.

Working with the Laboratory Technician (who will provide on the job training) and reporting to the Technical Manager, the role will include:

• The quality assurance testing of raw materials and finished products
• Reporting on samples returned from customers as part of technical support
• Performing blend studies as part of a product development plan
• The maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• The company is accredited to PAS99 (incorporating Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Management systems) and the successful candidate will be involved in certain aspects of the business required to maintain these standards.
• Part of the role will also involve working in other areas of the manufacturing operation to gain appreciation of the business as a whole
• Attending TDR Training facility one day per week

Level 3 Laboratory technician apprenticeship standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full-time role on completion of Apprenticeship for the right candidate.
