GB Lubricants Enjoys Great Success at the APF Exhibition

GB Lubricants recently attended the eagerly anticipated APF Exhibition at the Ragley Estate in Warwickshire. The event saw over 23,000 visitors from all over the country looking to learn about the latest updates in the forestry, woodland, arboriculture, firewood, fencing, trees and timber trade.

Following positive interactions with visitors at the event in previous years, the team at GB Lubricants was keen to build on its already stellar reputation for quality oils, greases and lubricants for forestry vehicles and equipment. As well as this, the key focus for the event was the company’s mission to be recognised as a global leader in the oil and lubricants industry for sustainability and also minimising the company’s environmental impact.

As part of GB Lubricants’ commitment to sustainable oil and lubricant production and operating procedures throughout its Gateshead manufacturing site, the APF exhibition was an opportunity to launch a new range of recycled packaging that features 35% recycled plastic. The new generation of green 25ltr packaging is initially being introduced to GB Lubricants’ chainsaw oils and will eventually be utilised in all 25ltr containers throughout the company’s wide range of different oils and lubricants. These products cover the needs of the forestry, agricultural, commercial vehicle, and off-highway sectors plus many more. The new green packaging really stood out on GB Lubricants’ stand and was a big talking point for those who attended.

The other attractions on GB Lubricants’ stand were the large 18 ton John Deere 1170G wheeled harvester with an impressive reach of nearly 11.5m and the GB Lubricants delivery van with a striking new livery focusing on GB Lubricants Sustainable Future. With these on display it was hard not to be impressed with the GB Lubricants stand by those passing by.

Returning for a 2nd event in a row GB Lubricants was also supporting Joffrey ‘The Chainsaw Bloke’ in the European Chainsaw Carving Competition. Joffrey’s entry was a carving of a baby dragon in an egg and was a great demonstration of the durability of GB Lubricants’ chainsaw oils when put into extreme situations.

At the end of the APF exhibition Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Amanda Byrne was pleased with the success of the GB Lubricants team. “The APF has yet again given us a great opportunity to discuss all the advancements GB Lubricants’ are making and working towards. Sustainability plays a major part in who we are and what we do. So being able to engage with our customers to showcase our sustainable production and recycled packaging, I hope puts GB Lubricants ahead as a forward-thinking company. Talking to the wider audience at the event allows us to demonstrate how GB Lubricants’ quality oils, greases and lubricants can help not only those working in the forestry sector, but also other industries like agricultural, off-highway, commercial vehicle and many more. We can’t wait to continue with the positive conversations we’ve had with both existing and new customers here at the event this year”.
