GB RPF LO-5

GB RPF LO-5 is a solvent deposited, low odour short term rust preventative, suitable for use on components that are exposed for short time periods in less harsh environments. This product has low surface tension and viscosity, which allows it to spread rapidly and penetrate all areas. It dries to leave a continuous protective coating of petroleum products and additives that provide effective rust preventative properties. GB RPF LO-5 is useful where metal components to be treated are wet, as this product completely displaces all water when applied.

APPLICATIONS
GB RPF LO-5 is recommended as a short term de-watering rust preventative for parts stored indoors. It is particularly useful as an inter-operational corrosion preventative for machined components prior to further treatment. GB RPF LO-5 is suitable for protection of aluminium alloys, bright steel wire, bars, billets, and sheets. GB RPF LO-5 is applied by spraying, brushing or dipping. No stirring or mixing of the product is required, however the drum should be kept closed to avoid evaporation of the solvent. If parts that have been treated with GB RPF LO-5 are to be painted, the coating must be removed before painting with white spirit, kerosene or other hydrocarbon solvents.

Please note that many variables including humidity, temperature, corrosive environments such as sea water spray and the application of the product, will contribute to actual performance levels in a specific customer application.
